FAQs

How long does the installation process take?
Depending on the size of the job, most of our products are installed within a few hours. For bigger jobs that have multiple openings or more complex jobs the installation process can take up to a day or two for completion.

How does the measuring and installation process go?
Once we've had our initial consultation to find out exactly what you're after, we'll come and show you some product samples and discuss installation options with you to make sure we get the most out of the product in your unique space. We'll go over colour choices and product configurations with you, lending our expertise in what we think will both work and look the best. Once we've locked that in, we'll then perform a check measure of the openings / space and get the order sent off to the manufacturers at ozroll. As soon as we've received the order at our warehouse we'll be in touch with you to organise an installation date.

What are the wind ratings on the External blinds?
This is a complex question that cannot be answered simply, because.
1. The wind load on a blind is directly proportional to its area, so its ability to withstand winds
depends on its size.
2. The wind load on a conventional blind is transferred to the top tube and base bar, with a Slidetrack blind the wind load is transferred to its entire perimeter so can withstand up to twice the loading.
3. The location of a blind within a given wind speed area is also very important, e.g. whether it is in
an exposed or sheltered area, or on a window or a veranda. However, we have blinds successfully installed in N1 (W28) and N2 (W33) wind rating areas in QLD, which is the best product testament possible. (These categories refer to potential gust wind speeds up to 28 and 33 m/sec respective).
