FAQs for our Outdoor Blinds
What are the blinds made of?
PVC coated, high tensile polyester woven with peace of mind self-extinguishing fire resistance, and high abrasion capabilities. It’s manufactured to the exacting Okeotex certification system with NO harmful toxins like lead, mercury, chromium, and with a 5-year warranty. With Diamond Blinds Outdoor Blinds, you have peace of mind knowing the materials used mean years of outdoor performance.
What is the recommended method for cleaning my Outdoor Blinds?
Cleaning your outdoor patio blinds is a straightforward process. You can use a solution of soapy water and a sponge and avoid the use of any harsh chemicals. Keep the fabric clean by brushing regularly both sides of the fabric using a soft-bristle brush and hosing occasionally with clear and cold water.
What are the maximum dimensions available for different types of Roller sunshades?
For motorised blinds the maximum size is 6.4 meters. Manual blinds can reach up to 5.2 meters,
while manual crank blinds have a maximum size of 5.5 meters. For chain guide blinds, the largest dimension achievable is 4.6 meters. Feel free to get in touch if you have any additional questions about size limits for your space - there may be a workable solution for large openings such as multiple blinds.
What are the wind ratings on the External blinds?
This is a complex question that cannot be answered simply, because.
1. The wind load on a blind is directly proportional to its area, so its ability to withstand winds
depends on its size.
2. The wind load on a conventional blind is transferred to the top tube and base bar, with a Slidetrack blind the wind load is transferred to its entire perimeter so can withstand up to twice the loading.
3. The location of a blind within a given wind speed area is also very important, e.g. whether it is in
an exposed or sheltered area, or on a window or a veranda. However, we have blinds successfully installed in N1 (W28) and N2 (W33) wind rating areas in QLD, which is the best product testament possible. (These categories refer to potential gust wind speeds up to 28 and 33 m/sec respective).
