    To clean outdoor blinds:

    • Fully lower the blinds
    • Brush off loose dirt and debris
    • Wash gently using lukewarm water and mild detergent
    • Rinse with a low-pressure garden hose
    • Allow the blinds to fully dry before rolling up

This method prevents mould and protects fabrics from Brisbane’s heat and humidity.

For motorised blinds the maximum size is 6.5 meters. Manual spring blinds can reach up to 5 meters, while manual crank blinds have a maximum size of 5.5 meters. Feel free to get in touch if you have any additional questions about size limits for your space – there may be a workable solution for large openings such as multiple blinds with a removable post.

This is a complex question that cannot be answered simply, because.

    • The wind load on a blind is directly proportional to its area, so its ability to withstand winds
      depends on its size.
    • The wind load on a conventional blind is transferred to the top tube and base bar, with a Slidetrack blind the wind load is transferred to its entire perimeter so can withstand up to twice the loading.
    • The location of a blind within a given wind speed area is also very important, e.g. whether it is in
an exposed or sheltered area, or on a window or a veranda. However, we have blinds successfully installed in N1 (W28) and N2 (W33) wind rating areas in QLD, which is the best product testament possible. (These categories refer to potential gust wind speeds up to 28 and 33 m/sec respective).
Premium track-guided outdoor blinds designed to enclose patios, pergolas, and balconies. They operate smoothly and resist wind and weather.
No. The upgraded Zip-Series design ensures smooth, even operation every time.

    Roller Shutters

Although they are installed on the exterior of your home, roller shutters that are over windows and doors are operated from inside, either manually with a winder or strap or by battery units & electric motors. Both of which can also be remote controlled.
Roller shutters are an effective, cost-efficient and environmentally friendly way in which to keep your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, cutting down on your use of air conditioning and heating, and so reducing your electricity consumption. The insulating effect of roller shutters means that you can control the temperature in your home more effectively, which significantly impacts on your home’s energy efficiency. Not only then can roller shutters help you to make serious savings on your power and electricity bills they have an added benefit of being a green technology that actively decreases your greenhouse gas emissions. Comfortable and great for the environment!
To clean roller shutters, lower the shutter fully, remove loose dirt with a soft broom, then wash using warm water and mild detergent. Clean the side tracks carefully and rinse using low water pressure. Avoid harsh chemicals or pressure washers.
Roller shutters can improve privacy, light control, comfort, and perceived security. Any effect on property value will depend on the property, product quality, installation, condition, and local market. Some insurers may consider approved security improvements when assessing a property, but premium reductions are not guaranteed. Contact your insurer to determine whether roller shutters affect your policy or premium. While there is definitely an initial investment involved with roller shutters, they are very low maintenance. The only thing you will have to do on a regular basis is to clean them out and make sure they are working properly.

    Aluminium Louvres

Aluminium louvers represent a shading, weather protection, and ventilation system comprising of adjustable blades that are crafted from aluminium. These slats allow control over the influx of light and air into a space. Because of their robust and durable design, they are commonly installed in outside patio areas to enhance comfort in outside living spaces.
Our aluminium louvres are proudly made in Australia using premium-quality Australian aluminium. This ensures superior durability, local support, environmental responsibility, and the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. By choosing Diamond Blinds & Shutters, you’re not only getting a high-quality product but also supporting Australian manufacturing and reducing your carbon footprint.
